I read this article today. Thought it might be usefull here. I think I will start doing this.

I always try to feed my plants with rain water whenever possible for this reason, I trap and store it in 5 gallon buckets. I hate using tap water because it is very hard here plus chlorine and chloramines in the water aren't good for organic microorganisms in the soil. Might experiment with the ammonium sulfate as it sounds promising.

Yeah, I have a community well here which is where i get my water. If i had city water i wouldn't water them with that for ssure. But we definitely dont get enough rain here to be able to water all my plants with. Unless i had a giant collector that took up most of my yard.
