Ephedra photos, 2 y.o

I wanted to show off some Ephedra as I'm at home for a few days and had access to a camera.

They were sown just over 2 years ago, good germ rates, not too much dampening off etc etc.

Species sown were E. nebrodensis (think this might be considered E. major), E. nevadensis and E. fragilis.

Anyone with experience cultivating these, have your plants flowered? What age did this occur at and did they have any particular special treatment.

E. fragilis

Lost label for this one, assume its E. fragilis or E. nebrodensis as there were more of them than the E. nevadensis.. but then the growth habit of this one is much more compact and less sprawling..

Good man. My inspiration <___base_url___>/uploads/emoticons/default_wub.png

When r u coming to see me?

Or can I come see you and all your precious plants in person?

Txt me.

Anyways. I haven't grown any past seedling stage as of yet, so it's good to know they can grow so well here.

Are these in the glasshouse?

@Ceres

Tomorrow, and yup we might have to do that too

I'm not sure if it was me or the plants but they seemed fussy when young, could get turned to skeletons easily if I missed watering on a hot day.

Which surprised me for what I thought was a xerophyte, perhaps it was my growing medium, although it was fairly organic. or that I pampered them too much so that on a hot day they didn't handle it as well..

Yup these are in the glasshouse, I'm sure the roots reach well beyond the edge of it though.

They grew fine outside in the ground till I let them get overgrown
