2XB Posted November 16, 2013 I have only one other variety that is so short spined they are almost non existent and the wool is hard like leather... no where near a attractive as this one. Both are woody fuckers!
Micromegas Posted November 17, 2013 Looks like what I call cereus hexagonus, a bit larger and more attractive than the standard c. peruvianus, I certainly prefer this variety. There is one at the adl bot gardens and it is a monster in girth and height compared to the nearby peruvianus.
Jox Posted November 17, 2013 I can't give you a certain ID for your plant but just thought I would point out that the name Cereus peruvianus is an old name & is no longer used, any plant that was called C.peruvianus is been placed with other Cereus.
