upside Posted October 19, 2013 Hey there, nice plants.. here's my P.carth, just sprouting after 3 months. No sign of the P.viridis yet... They are in takeaway cont. the lid is kept on apart from this pic. Was wondering if I should leave lid on, but for how long? they are under a T8 twin cool white fluro. With shade cover. Cheers
cactuscarl Posted October 19, 2013 From memory I think I got the viridus as a small plant about two years ago and the cartha I sprouted from a leaf about a year and a half ago

Cheers harden them out right away after they germed, so take the cover off. observe for wilting symptoms, once you took the cover off, if wilt is observed, put cover back on, but take off again a few hours later. here is my pic of a seed grown nexus, seedling which just poked her head out yesterday. I don't use a dome/ cover at all for viridis seeds. if you keep them under great humidity, you will run into trouble later... upside Posted October 19, 2013 Ok, I've removed both the lid and shade. I will also keep my eye on them for any signs of wilting. Thanks
theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted October 19, 2013 Well done PH! Still nothing from my lot you sent... My viridis, Cartha and nexus are all about to flower and there's plenty of native bees in the greenhouse so hopefully there's some interesting crosses! Or should I selectively pollinate? planthelper Posted October 20, 2013 Well done PH! Still nothing from my lot you sent... My viridis, Cartha and nexus are all about to flower and there's plenty of native bees in the greenhouse so hopefully there's some interesting crosses! Or should I selectively pollinate? my view is psychotrias don't need hand pollinating, but maybe I am just lucky to have many bees and all sort of insects in the garden. all my psychotrias, apart from the shipibo, just emerged there flower spikes, but I took most of them off, by hand, as I don't want them to flower and produce seeds. left two spikes at the nexus though... side track over. Acacia King Posted October 21, 2013 Nice work! The both look very happy. Really nice foliage on the Viridis. They are such a good looking plant!
