qualia Posted June 6, 2013 do you think it worth it to place a protective plastic wrap around the base of plants in the ground, so they don't necessarily get too wet over winter? good/bad/indifferent? it's just been planted btw, and has a bit of rot up the base. wrong move planting it now probs but yolo right? PsillyBean Posted June 6, 2013 At my work we covered the soil surrounding a plant with black plastic. We also put perforated tubes under the plastic to create an air pocket so the soil can breath and dry out.
