Question

I was out foraging for Saffron Milk Caps and found what I think might be Mousy Tricholomas. Details:

  • Detached Gills/deeply notched (there are gills around the top of the stipe on some specimens upon very close inspection)
  • White-grey gills
  • Growing in pine forests between lithgow and bathurst
  • Easily broken stem
  • White spore print
  • cap is convex to flat with a slight umbo

Hey I collect both

Tricholoma myomyces/terreum and Tricholoma atrosquamosum in a couple varieties.

the size is very important and you dont mention it, and so it habitat photo,

in any case you seem to be right in that they look like myomyces , but You have them in your hands, not me. so its yr responsibility to ID correctly.
