Anyone growing Trichocereus purpureopilosus?

Altman currently has this listed as purpureopilosus at my local Lowe's

I've seen those being sold as T. purpureopilosus as well at lowes. But walmart has the ones that I got.

Hi EthnoGuy! Thanks for posting the Pics. It´s not a Purpureopilosus. As the name indicates, it had a purple/purpur flower. As a matter of fact, I think this plant isn´t even a Trichocereus. Got more flower pics? I´m still sleeping but this might be some kind of Pseudolobivia. But that´s just the old name.

I got one that looks a lot like it, and EG had also said it might not be a tricho. I still am not convinced.

Yeah, well, if the flower´s fake and it keeps growing columnar, it MIGHT be a Candicans. But I assume you didn't buy it because if you had, you´d probably already ripped that fake flower off, right?

EG yes I did not buy it and I hate those paper flowers. I actually ripped it off before I left the store ;)

I can't stand those flowers either. Last time I was looking through some Altman plants, they had actually glued fake flowers over actual flower buds. No way they could open, great way to ruin a nice plant.

it sure looks like it, and its lots bigger but no flower as of yet!

Mine really looks like more white spined version of pasacana, but I cant really accept that, it's indeed different.

god damn columnars, I fucking love them!
