Can someone please I'd this?

Question

Hi , I found this plant when I was on holidays , I am thinking it is some type if datura but wasn't sure.

If anyone wants any seeds from this plant I have 5 packs of 10 to give away, so shoot me a pm if interested

its Argemone ochroleuca, one of the Mexican prickly poppies.

Looks a bit like a Prickly poppy (normally the petals overlap more), but it's not a Datura. :)

Also, I didn't know there were multiple species called Prickly poppy, but there are. ;o

Thanks guys , the only thing that made me think it was some type of datura was the seed pods , is this plant grown for any reason or just a weed?

Just a weed I believe, an annoyingly spiky one also! Although I've vapourized leaf and flowers from these, which has produced noticeable effects that were pleasant. The seeds are pretty nasty though, poisonous, so do try to avoid those!

not many people would cultivate this plant, but it's a good opium substitute.
