Jox Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) Well I better start by saying thank you, as I will be asking for more help with ID's as the week goes on . I will start with these two. I think the first might be an Uebelmannia sp but, I'm really not sure; & this big boy, maybe a Cereus??? Your help is appreciated. 0 Snowfella Posted November 27, 2012 I'd agree on those 2. Love to get my hands on P. marginatus but haven't been able to find it anywhere here down in Sydney. Well, I've found plants but none that is for sale that is.
0 Jox Posted November 27, 2012 Thank you both, as you can see by my terrible guesses I will need you help in the week to come I'm always learning something new & useful here. Cheers jox
0 Stillman Posted November 27, 2012 Thats the Pachycereus marginatus I almost wet myself over in the other thread Jox. When they get big they look striking theres even a crested form and because they have those "felt" looking lines it looks striped its very cool.

0 Jox Posted November 27, 2012 @ Stillman, I felt a bit stupid when I realized one of the plants I put up for ID is the same one you talked about , I saw so many cool cacti & took so many photos my mind is boggled, shit mate I dreamt about that garden last night .
0 spice-of-life Posted November 27, 2012 Haha, I made a Calea tea last night and no matter how many dreams I had they all involved cacti, in fact from what I can remember I was looking through heaps of cacti plants looking for a bridgesii. LOL at the power of the mind. All I seem to be dreaming about lately is cacti
0 Ilovecacti Posted November 27, 2012 Spice, the universe obviously wants you to find a bridgesii then From Jox's other thread: Does anyone know what the one on the left is?
0 Stillman Posted November 27, 2012 some sort of succulent possibly? Its a beauty but.
0 Jox Posted November 27, 2012 ^^LOL, while were at it, can anyone tell us the one on the right? I was thinking Euphorbia something.
0 Stillman Posted November 27, 2012 Euphorbias and succulents in general are too hard to ID IMO they all look the same unless they are flowering but heres a good starting place http://www.cactus-art.biz/schede/EUPHORBIA/photo_gallery_euphorbia.htm
0 zahsone Posted November 27, 2012 The one on the left is Allaudia procera, the one the right is probably the 'Cowboy cactus' Euphorbia ingens
