Heretic Posted May 13, 2012 Hi , I am seeking a specimen or seed of Boronia Safrolifera , to buy or trade . please PM if able to help . Thanks , Tom
Francois le Danque Posted May 13, 2012 (edited) are you interested in this plant because of psychoactivity? my grandfather, a botanist, suggested to me that boronia species were reputed to be 'hallucinogenic', however no amount of research seems to corroborate these claims. edit: actually looking at the specific epithet i can see how one may be interested in such a thing. but my question remains. Heretic Posted May 13, 2012 No , not for any psycoactive purpo ses - it simply appears to be a very beautiful native plant . It may occur in the local environment , if any remains that is not burnt off each year . But I neither look for plants in the bush or collect them . There is a photo of this species in the ethnobotany forum somewhere - its beauty is what has sparked my interest . And I like nice fragrant plants too , esp natives . Heretic Posted May 14, 2012 (edited) thanks applesnail , I will try chasing them up . I will see if my local nursery has it in stock - they may well do so ; it would be an ideal garden specimen for my area . Tom. Edited May 14, 2012 by Major Tom
