Some new additions.

Recommended Posts

Just some pictures of some new additions.

Not really sure what the first one is, was sold to me as a T. Bridgesii but I'm not so sure on that.

2nd is a psychotria carthagenisis

3rd is T. Bridgesii (possibly of the psycho0 strain I think)

4th (top) is T. Bridgesii, (middle) T. Bridgesii (same as 3rd cutting), (bottom) E. spachiana.

5th is a pilosocereus azureus.

Nice plants, lhb! Dont think the first one is bridgesii either. Looks like a peruvianoid of some sort. But its interesting. Would like to see more when it grows.

Thanks EG, I was thinking it might be a peruvianoid as well, i'll take some photos tomorrow if I get the chance as that one's a wee bit old, and thanks Swiper, I got the spach of a very generous member on here who I believe got his foot all fucked up from these cuttings he took (jumped the fence and landed on it from memory, ouch!!!!), so fingers crossed it does him well and grows like a beast!

I remember that story quite well and it still makes me cringe every single time i hear it. The thing should be in ziplocked and put in the evidence vault for all the emotional pain it caused me. :P

Btw, looking at the Peruvianoid again makes me think it could really become a Knuthianus.

Yeah I almost felt guilty having asked/received the cuttings when I read that story (poor tipz), one can only hope his foot has healed well in the mean time.....

Yeah it doesn't appear to have quite as significant notches above each aerole now it's a bit bigger, I'll post another photo tomorrow which shows it a bit more developed, it's also not as fast a grower as any of my other bridgesii either, would be nice if its a pervianoid as I don't have any that I know of. (pretty poor with cacti id'ing)

also the cutting I was given (the root stock) is super fat compared to any of my bridgesii or pach's.

 Foot has healed fine Ihb... That incident was kind of insignificant though compared to the spine injury from my macro to my hand, that went septic. ( im sure there are a few little spines from that spach moving around subdermally in my foot still - subdermally, is that a word ?)

Ahhhh the cacti - they have so many lessons for us B)

sorry for any emotional scarring caused E.G - I meant no harm :)

Thats great to hear Tipz, and god I'd hate to have to deal with either of your spine related incidents so its probably best I go buy some think leather gloves or something similar.

EG I've attached a few more photos of the cactus above that was sold to me as a T. Bridgesii, as you can see it doesn't appear to be as heavily notched around the aeroles as the photo in my first post.
