Jox Posted April 7, 2012 Went for a walk this week in s/e QLD & found some beautiful A.obtusifolia, they had heaps of seed pods & I had a couple of question about the seeds. The plants I found had pods on them from last season that were dry & brown but still closed they also had fresh pods from this year which are green & just starting to go brown, my 1st question is should these green pods be left to dry out before useing the seeds? 2nd question, whats the best time of year to plant A.obtusifolia seeds? If anyone has anymore advise i'd love to hear it. Cheers Jox
Seldom Posted April 7, 2012 it's maybe a bit late but as long as it's not too cold where you are through winter, it probly wouldn't hurt to throw a few of the fallen dried ones in a pot if you have the space. fallen seeds will be the more viable ones, they'll be dark maroon-ish black brown color, green seeds are not viable early spring wouldb e ideal i reckon good luck!
