I.D. Help for a tree

I need and I.D. help for this tree because I need to know if water with vinegar is OK to use on it. It's been infested by ants. hHis is the 4th time..... FOURTH

Maby a type of juniperus, not sure tho as the foliage looks very soft.

Nice little Juniper, I'd say. I don't know about the vinegar, never used it on plants but if you remove the soil from the roots and soak for 1 minute in a 5% bleach solution that will kill most bugs and usually not affect the plant too strongly, if you wash the roots well afterwards.
