niggles Posted March 25, 2012 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251023001241&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:AU:1123 This chap off ebay is selling what he claims is Cuzco TBMS. I asked him for pictures of the mother plant ... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7212/6858037228_5d4cee4ba8_b.jpg You can see the two pups he is now selling in the picture when they were still attatched to the plant. Personally I wouldnt have cut them off until they had pupped.. and I wouldnt be selling my only two pups. Im not buying, but make up your own mind. Thoughts? Evil Genius Posted March 25, 2012 Yes i have seen this recently being posted here in the chat. Well its definately a Cuzcoensis that produced two monstrose pups. Personally, i think the pup might go back to a normal growth. There are some certain clones that produce a monstrose pup from time to time but still grow pretty much normal most of the time. Monstrose pups can also be caused by Spidermites for example. Not by purpose but sometimes it happens. Not sure what to think as it depends on the price. Price good = bargain. Price bad = wouldnt take the risk of the pup reverting back to normal.
applesnail Posted March 25, 2012 I'm pretty sure the person selling them is a member here and knows there cacti so I would make the assumption that they are infact TBM Cuzco....I should of been a private investigator!

You guys do realise that the B in TBM stands for bridgesii, so a Cuzco TBM would be very strange indeed. The seller doesn't claim they are TBM at all, only that they look similar.
niggles Posted March 25, 2012 please excuse my vague inaccurate representation of his sale. blurry eyes, lazy brain, capped internet.
2Deep2Handle Posted March 25, 2012 Yeah niggles was implying a chimera of some kind (the two genus crossed?) , as opposed to a normal trich that through out some seriously monstrose pups.
Evil Genius Posted March 25, 2012 It happens quite oftenly that some clones throw out monstrose pups. Its a desireable thing if it happens regularly and i like the cuzcoensis monstrose in the acution. If it would be in germany, i´d buy it. So i dont think you can do wrong for 30 bucks. The problem is that that its also possible that it might revert to normal growth but hey, chances are 50:50 it doesnt.
