I think it's much better to grow a bunch of smaller pumpkins than a big large one, more nutrients and such. Massive pumpkins like that would require quite a lot of water too... Also I think I remember reading the green leaves and shoots contain more nutrients than pumpkins do anyway edit: that's for solving hunger problems though..
