I love this fungus I used to see it at least twice a say when i was doing conservation and land management they are so squishy when there fresh then they turn into like a dried up dog turd when a few days old

Hell yeah, me and a friend have started making some felt and are looking for natural dyes, does anyone have any info on this little guy growing in victoria and NSW?

Ahhh i've seen that fungus once down linear trail, it was massive, I thought it might be a horse shit but it was too weird, I poked it with a stick for a bit while walkers looked at me strangely.

well when i see it in WA its usually in parks close to forest area on gravel and dirt tracks

Hey I'm a noob but are these dog turds?

I found them shortly before easter on the mid north coast (was pretty damn dry the land and the days that led up)

Sort of like spore sacks... had a firm footing in the ground but the tops seem'd hollowish and full of sporey crap. See the older one next to the freshies.

Thanks for bumping this thread... i just saw a rather big one today while walking down a street, i split it open a few times and it looks so so strange, almost like mycelium grown on grain but looks kinda edible. Can't remember the smell.. but the thing stained my hands something fierce, had to walk for 10 mins with horrible brown/green/black hands till i could wash it off.

I dont see fungi anywhere near me!? If i do i only ever have my phone camera so i got no means to get u lot to ID it, sounds interesting tho ^^
