pcster Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) Hey guys, My Piper betle (if it even is the real thing) makes lots of little balls on the underside of the leafs and when they dry up they become blackish. Can someone tell me what these little balls are and if it's bad or good that they're on there? Edited November 28, 2011 by pcster
H.E. Pennypacker Posted November 28, 2011 That's certainly not good. Heavily infested with somekind of scale insect. I'd dispose of the most damaged leaves and spray pesticides on the remaining.
Torsten Posted November 28, 2011 Looks like the real thing. the balls are unlikely from the piper, but rather from an insect.
