Rescued from Bunnings Unknown

Question

I think it may be one of the many Cephalocereus azures blue torch" Type/ hybrid cacti you see at bunnings but curious of a scientific name if anyone knows it. Looks like it might have a bit of black rot forming which is a worry but I haven't seen this type before so thought I'd get it any way.

Edit : they naturally have a purple tinge. I dont think that is rot setting in

Apparently some reach sizes of four to five metres.

Prized for the edible fruits and the arms of the cactus used to be used as firewood.
