Found these guys in a baggie

Question

Well i didnt actually find them. Curious to know what they are, any ideas? (they werent found in any known "hot spots")

Thanks for that, i wonder how many mushrooms the picker ate before he discarded the baggie :P

yes, definately not a psilocybe. i never pick anything with a Brown Stem, no psilocybe has a brown stem. also , in melbourne, annulus's are a no go as well. however keep in mind people hunting in northern n.s.w. or queensland can encounter Cubensis mushrooms, which do have an annulus.

But for wood lovers like the subaeruginosa, growing from woodchips/pine needles, no brown stems or annulus's, bruises blue, and purple spore print is what you are looking for.

i can even identify sub's by smell now. sub's actually have a very distinct smell, and when i'm blindfolded im confident i can pick out a handful of subs as opposed to a handful of non active mushrooms just based on the smell alone. :)
