woof woof woof Posted July 2, 2011 Just funny to see that Carlos Castaneda wrote about Don Juan's explanation of the Emanations of the Eagle in the 60's and the string theory being discoverd/worked out by science in the 90's. < simple explanation.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_resonance_model carlos castaneda's Don Juan books are deep! Gunter Posted July 13, 2011 The material in them came from various sources, but indications are that it is not actually true, that Don juan never existed. This doesn't mean that what is presented as Don Juans teaching is false, but there is a lot to these books that is just material plagiarized from other religions and spiritual systems. woof woof woof Posted July 14, 2011 archea,.... I dont know anyone who managed to write and condense knowledge like that in fictional stories.......... and remember,.. back then information wasnt as easy to come by like nowadays. Carlos Castaneda was truely gifted in his way of compiling his stuff. Plagiarized?? Where did you get that from? Never read that about him. One thing is for sure,... he put it together and made it available to the masses. the books are well worth reading! He was maybe ahead of his time and very refreshing/ fun reading. mutant Posted July 14, 2011 carlos castaneda is a genuine conman in that he lied a lot and presented stuff as facts while they were not. never heard of that? wow. woof. good morning! timothy leary and terrence mckenna put it also out for the masses. did they do good to the cause? hmmmm dont think so.... but it depends on the cause
Gunter Posted July 14, 2011 Casteneda was a great manipulator of people, he is sill working hard at it. One of my favorite frauds, but not as badass as Joseph Smith.

MrSoulSong Posted July 20, 2011 Everything should be taken with a 'grain of salt', specifically this day and age. Here is one of many sources that discredit Carlos' claims... http://indiancountry...rlos-castaneda/ I have read all of his books also, despite the possibilty of fraud... Its still fairly good food for thought.
Slybacon Posted July 20, 2011 timothy leary and terrence mckenna put it also out for the masses. did they do good to the cause? hmmmm dont think so.... but it depends on the cause There is a lot of evidence to suggest that Leary was CIA either knowingly or not. Motive? to break up the building student movement, at some point nearly all the acid in USA was through CIA sources or Patents.
