Psylo Posted July 3, 2011 Gil Scott-Heron: Jazz Poet, often referred to as the Godfather of Hip Hop, a pioneer, died on May 27th this year. "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" was an early benchmark for politicizing music, and using it as a tool to communicated to the people. Nabraxas raised the topic of GSH's death, and that post got a grand total of five responses. Less than a month later, a second-rate daredevil (NOT a stuntman), Jackass, drunk driver & killer passes away. He was travelling at two and a half times the speed limit. There are 75 replies to the thread, and counting. How about everyone put their misguided emotions into perspective? The world hasn't stopped turning. By Father's Day it'll be "Ryan who"?
