cactuscarl Posted May 24, 2011 Hi all i have these ariocarpus seedlings they sprouted green and pink then turned red. I thought maybe that's what they do but some of them are 3 months old and still red. They grow well and look happy with not to much sun and haven't ever dried out. Is this normal for ariocarpus? Philocacti Posted May 24, 2011 IME it's totally normal. nothing to worry about all of mine do the same, grafted ones and non-grafted.
poisonshroom Posted May 24, 2011 (edited) Its due to stress - they should go normal colour soon, after they get used to whatever is stressing them. Almost all of mine do this because the light I keep them under for germination and the first few months is quite bright.
