Acacia?? id

Question

Hey guys,

I have noticed this one growing down the back of my place for a while now. This year it has set bulk seed, so i thought i'd see if anyone knows what it is..

Im pretty sure i have seen it covered in large white trumpet shaped flowers. In fact at a distant glance a few years ago i did think it was a Brug as the flowers are very similar.

you're definitely mistaken about the trumpet flowers it's in the fabaceae family... the flowers are kinda creamy yellow little recemes, a little like some acacias..

when the pods are well ripened, or a little over ripe, in the right conditions they have tasty sweet goopy flesh in them thats edible, not really worth it considering how weedy those bastards can be though imo..
