Mushroom ID

Recommended Posts

A friend found these in her veggie patch and asked me if i knew what they were... they look very similiar to field mushies to me but not quite as well... any ideas?

Edibility?

If you break one of those medium sized ones and smell it what's it smell like? Do they stain yellow if you scratch or bruise the cap?

The boxiness of the young ones makes me think of the annoying Agaricus Xanthodermus but that's only if it smells a bit of detol and bruises yellow.

The Agaricus Xanthodermus gills will tend to be a darkish brown red , im also pointing towards it being an almond mushroom (Agaricus subrufescens) though i am not entirely sure
