R Thanks mate, was beggining to think I was the only one into this sort of tune.... I love the driving feel of techno with the laid back house sounds. Sometimes house music bass keeps stopping Im more into the deeper tribal driving sound Imagine a crazy tb-303 bass filtery splatters might work. Totally, there is a Khainz remix of an Astro Nivo track that I think has just the sound your thinking of, will listen to that some more for inspiration.
