migraineur Posted December 20, 2010 Hey geezers, Does anyone know where I could get a decently priced laminar flow hood in Australia? I have searched online and find plenty of places overseas that have cheap flow hoods but shipping them here would require me to sell my first born child and some kidneys. I am sure they must have some places here that sell reconditioned second hand flow hoods from old labs etc but I can not find anything. Any help would be appreciated. If you want a reconditioned unit techtrader.com.au did have a couple of units for about $6k each, the price mostly due to the cost of a new HEPA i guess. Or if like many of us & you cant justify spending more than a few hundred, then you will most likely have to settle for an as is unit with an old filter. And then its down to PPL, patience persistence & luck. At least four of the ppl here scored a unit each from ebay earlier this year because a thread was posted that they had been spotted.
