Evil Genius Posted August 7, 2010 Hi myco, looks not like a loph should look like. I rather think they are Turbinicarpus. If they are Lophs, they have some serious issues.
incognito Posted August 7, 2010 i think they r lophs. i would stop watering so much though. looks like they are overwatered going by the algae growing ontop of pot, winter is generally a no water time.

If they are Lophs, they have some serious issues. hey just checked some pics of Turbinicarpus they do look similar but they all seem to have spines in the pics im seeing even the smallest ones while the ones i have dont have any spines not a single one is there any spineless Turbinicarpus or do they not have spines till they get older maybe??? nothinghead Posted August 7, 2010 The shape looks a little like turbinicarpus longispinus, though by the size they are they should have spines if they are a variety of turbinicarpus. The crown definitely doesn't look like lophophora to me.

Sola Posted August 9, 2010 They're interesting cacti nonetheless if you do ever get seed I'd be interested. Can't see any spines but hard to tell if you can't be sure of growing conditions. Look pretty lophy tho. Sola
mutant Posted August 9, 2010 lol, good thread My opinion was they were probably dehydrated and quite biggy L.diffusas, but when I read the tephrocactus comment I said: that explains it goot call pacha ;)
