taozen Posted June 23, 2010 (edited) Well it's been a few months like this, fungus problem, they where originaly on a window to prevent over watering, but it seems it might not have been enough sun. Anyway, they got this fuzzy white fungus, that converts into black spots. They are now currently outside but the problem persists. Is there a non-chemical way to solve this? I actually tried cutting the worse leaves out, but left some with fungus on it's earlier stage. Should I cut every piece of infected plant or just leave it alone? ] Edited June 23, 2010 by taozen
Chiral Posted June 23, 2010 increase heat and air circulation, 9 times out of ten sun, warmth, low humidity and good air flow will ward off mould and fungal problems.
Magicdirt Posted June 23, 2010 Is that black mould only growing on the older dead leaves ? If so that is normal, but you should remove any dead leaves so the mould doesn't have an easy target. I'd hit it with a bordeaux solution and put it outside.
Snaggletooth Posted June 23, 2010 They also need really good drainage. Avoid fine sand in mix. and as much sun and air as possible.
