san p Posted January 8, 2010 one of my tbm's was nice enough to throw out 3 pups from one knob this spring, the first pup to break out has had the growing point eatin off by some kind of tiny little flea like insects. its been a few weeks since then and as you can see in this second pic it has stopped growing and now been over taken by the younger pups. so what do you think it will do now, just rot off or somehow grow on? cheers san p
bℓσωηG Posted January 8, 2010 a mouse ate the top off one of mine, it pupped since and is still growing ok after a year ,yours should be fine just less appealing to the eye
dworx Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) It has probably just stalled as the other two are sapping the energy from mum, when they are big enough you could cut them off and it should take off,or let them grow out till they stop growing and the third should then pick up or if the tip is truly damaged then it may not. I see this a lot with my TBM's. Alternatively you can just remove this pup. DW Edited January 8, 2010 by dworx
cocalero() Posted January 8, 2010 I have this narley ugly TBM. I found it at some nursery and it was almost dead. It has been a bit hacked and chewed by insects too. I will post a pic soon. I repotted it and it is still living but man is it ugly. I love it
cocalero() Posted January 8, 2010 OK so here is my fugly TBM. I think it makes your one look pretty san P. I wonder what will happen next to this thing. Funny when I went to take a pic there was a tiny slug on it. AArrggHH!!! I think the pup on yours will just stay like that and maybe even throw another pup just under it.
