Chiral Posted November 18, 2009 From the Fox TV guide... Ethnobotanist James Wong shows viewers how to grow and transform vegetables into treatments which help ease muscle sprains and make a great addition to a low cholesterol diet. Not expecting too much but the show may throw up something of interest for a few.
FungalFractoids Posted November 18, 2009 Damn. I thought they might have been catering towards the more alternative lifestyles. It wouldn't be the first time. I was absolutely stunned to see 'The Magic Mushrooms of Ballingup Forest' on Lifestyle once, my respect for the channel increased exponentially as I watched it! Chiral Posted November 18, 2009 there was a thread about this show a couple of weeks ago. ive taped a couple of episodes but havent watched one yet. one of the guys at work quite enjoys it Yeah I thought I saw a thread about this or something similar but couldn't see it in news and notices, sorry if it's been posted before then. Looks like it's a series then and this weeks episode is about medicines from veges, well I mean it's a step isn't it and it's in the right direction. I'll have a watch tonight and put the show on series link too. You never know it might throw up some natural pain relief ideas etc..
Chiral Posted November 19, 2009 Well I though this show rocked, The chilli bandages that worked on soccer players with muscle injuries The fruit roll ups made from hawthorn berries and artichoke that lowered that woman's cholesterol The garlic and vinegar infusion that when a couple of teaspoons were placed in a hot water footbath healed that guys chronic athletes foot. pretty interesting show really and the ethno botanist who hosts the show is remarkably likable and realistic.
