kindness Posted May 19, 2009 Hey this grows in my backyard. Just wondering if anyone can ID it. It looks alot like the potted A.Maidenii's I have. Thanks in advance. Sorry about the size of the pictures... I could only upload them in the smaller format for some reason.
0 Chiral Posted May 19, 2009 When it seeds are the seed pods all curly and twisted...this is a good indicator for Madenii....but its hard with those pics...oh and the flowers should be off white to cream coloured ...not golden like most other wattles. 0 kindness Posted May 19, 2009 cheers bro, I've got to get better at Iding wattles! I think there are alot of Obtusifolia's around here too. So would you regard it easier to ID when in flower?

Yeah flowering time makes it all a hell of a lot easier....Madenii flower around early spring onwards to summer and Obtusi usually from December to February...the flowers are very unique on each of em, and yes makes it a lot easier.
