james_gould Posted December 25, 2008 Found this near my home in South East Queensland and haven't seen this kind of flower on an Acacia before. Anyone know what this classifies as?
~shameless~ Posted December 30, 2008 Hey man and welcome I'm not thinking Acacia species, i reckon from what i can tell by the pics ( old flowers and bark) that it may be an Agonis species of some sort, common name is "willow myrtle", maybe? check it out- Have a good new year!! james_gould Posted December 31, 2008 (edited) Yep, smells like peppermint, must be Willow Myrtle. Happy new year Edited December 31, 2008 by james_gould
tarenna Posted February 6, 2009 If the flowers are bright yellow and borne in spring I would have a tendency to suggest Daviesia arborea - not sure how far north it gets though.
