mr b.caapi Posted October 18, 2003 my HBWR has hit its second season of growth and is doing really well. however ive noticed that in a lot of its new growth the leaves are apearing "cigar" or oblong shaped rather than the uasual heart shape. is this normal or maybe a mutation? Thelema Posted October 18, 2003 Ive had some reverse hearts on mine! there seems to be quite a variance from the heart, so I would say it was normal.
mr b.caapi Posted October 18, 2003 thelema, are you growing yours in a hothouse or outdoors? has yours flowered yet? im curious on how they grow longterm through the perth climate...
Thelema Posted October 18, 2003 i grew mine outside, and then it died a few months ago after some dickhead sprayed it with herbicide (no, not me) it was about 12 months old and hadn't flowered. I hear that rivea does better in perth than HBWR.
gomaos Posted October 18, 2003 And rivea sure behaves strangely in Brisbane: Mine set countless flowers, but had very few seed. I still haven't worked out what happened....
