Ace Posted November 24, 2008 Stenocereus (syn. Pachycereus) marginatus? Pretty cool to see them utilised like that but I reckon they look much nicer in random garden arrangements to give it more of a natural look. Probably a pretty effective deterrent for fence-hoppers tho!
sharxx101 Posted November 24, 2008 Nice pic! I have seen fence post cactus in mexico in a pic. They look cool and dont have spines like a scop but are a coloum cactus that people use as fence posts in mexico. Cool stuff, I wouldnt mind making a fence of peruvianus! That would keep the neighbour from spying!
woof woof woof Posted November 24, 2008 fences like that are common in south & central america. in the ABC islands we still have many such fences. people still make them nowadays. on the islands people usually use the local stenocerues griseus..... a very spiney columar. good way to keep unwanted people and animals out
