Trichocereus?

Question

What is this cactus? Looks like Trichocereus to me...?

It's about 12-14 inchs high and 3-4+ inchs wide...

I thought it might be Trichocereus terscheckii, I payed $7 dollors for it...

Looks like terscheckii to me, the hooked spines are distinctive.

I see it more fitting in the T. candicans/psuedocandicans group which itself can be quite varied. I won't quickly say it was T. terscheckii.

If you were going to put a lable in the pot... what would you write on it? Trichocereus hybrid?

the second latin name always starts of with minor cases, so it's not Trichocereus Gnarly, but Trichocereus gnarly.

i am not certain but the y ending has to be latinised to ii.

and than we have to use the new name, echinopsis!

so it's echinopsis gnarlii, which might become as famous as dragibus curiosa!!
