Happy 21st! Yeah, that sounds like Rainbow Serpent.

Homebrew is software written for the DS (In C) by enthusiasts. You can find all sorts of amazing stuff, like games, OS ports (DSLinux!), web browsers, IM clients, art software (Photoshop on the go!), media players (mp3, avi...), emulators (NES,SNES,Genesis,C64) etc.

There's a huge list you can check out at the Homebrew Wiki.

I could go on and on about how amazing some of the software is but i'll just let you use the link, i feel like i've geek-jacked this thread long enough!

The most relaxing thing I've probably experienced is sitting in a spa pool in the middle of the NZ countryside looking at the stars.

It all turns to shit when you accidentally drop your beer in though, and you have to brave your bodies intrepretation of the extreme cold to fetch another one, and end up slipping on the grass when you get out.

But otherwise its lovely...

If you like roms, google for mame dvd's. I bought them and still have tons to play. Still not quite over 100gb like a mate has in his collection but am getting close.\

Yeh Mame emulator is really cool, used to have stacks of them.

As far as chilling out goes... gaming (PC mostly, COD4, UT3, and just got a wii so mario kart). Fire twirling, a bonfire on the beach with mates, a few beers, herbal smokes. Leonotis tea is really nice too. And of course, music (just recently getting into a bit of afrobeat which is an interesting, chilled out genre with lots of interesting stories to tell).

After a big night, there isn't much I can do to escape a feeling of discomfort. But some things I like would be hanging out with my lady friend, a long bath, a long bath with the lady friend :P. Gotta love the beach too, nothing more relaxing when you get home at 2 in the arvo than putting on some boardies, grabbing the firestick and heading down the beach to have a twirl in the sun (no need to light it up obviously) then a nice swim and a lounge on the sand or rocks, maybe a herbal smoke. Then there is a strange hobby I picked up with the girl friend, being rock collecting. Sitting in the sun and trawling through little pebbles looking for particularly cool ones... have a nice little collection now. Music does it less for me after a big night because I can usually still hear the morning's festivities pumping in my head, so usually, unless one is trying to keep going, I'm usually trying to stop the music in my mind to facilitate some sleep later on.

Peace,

Mind

used to relax by smoking MJ with garden sage, trying to cut down on all the baddies at the moment so im just taking in all these ideas.

im definitely going to start heading down to the beach more when the weather permits, i do live a stones through away :)

I also like playing piano ( or my MIDI keyboard ) or bass guitar/guitar, going skateboarding with mates or taking some nice photos.

Rock collecting! that's the closest thing to a family sport we have, at my house. Most rocks are just rocks but sometimes you find a Different one, lol.

Creative writing, cooking, herbalising, photography, volunteering, practical recycling (making shit out of other shit, rather than just sorting your shit to be sent to the great shitheap in the sky). Gardening (of course), also recently rediscovered one of the greatest of all hippy artifacts... the FRISBEE!

i like to punch things

HAHA! Gold!

I enjoy the odd game or two to help me relax, but if I lose, I get pissed off and start to get all jittery. :P Trying not to think is a good one too. Doing some sort of stretching or yoga puts me in a really good frame of mind. Then I usually make a nice cup of tea and sit on the back steps or lawn and just watch the plants and animals. Whenever I'm feeling a bit more energetic, a walk in the botanical gardens or local wilderness reserve does me well. The beach is probably one of my favourites, but not always accessible.

I like looking at the cool light blue big sky with the nice white clouds and seeing it from the yellow Sun light rays and finding it beautiful and home.

I like reggae music but don't smoke pot[anymore].

It be would nice to swim in the ocean, have a couple of margaritas and have the hotel [and most likely a casino in it, although I don't gamble] near.

But when one gets older one looks like a manatee when naked, so that what the rich are paying for.

Forgive the old and let them on the Aussie beeches and turn away your eyes.

Doctor Vert's Restorative

Ideal for biliousness of spirit, robustness of haste and hypertension of Slackness.

_____________________________________________________________________

For One...

Heaping teaspoons.... somewhere between fine-rough chopped, crushed-ish flowers, you get the idea. If you want less "leather" (only word for it) and more zap, cut the lemon balm and up the peppermint. Or get fresher lemonbalm.

1 x damiana herbage (good quality)

1 x german chamomile (if it doesn't smell fantastic, don't bother)

1 x lemonbalm/ .5 lemon myrtle (LB seems to retain strength longer than scent, LM is lovely but varies a lot, fresh n wild is best)

1 x peppermint (nice biting strong stuff, tongue numbing)

plus a pinch of mace/lil fingertip worth of fresh grated ginger/1/5th tsp of galangal powder/ pinch star of anise/ grated bush lemon, if you want an extra zing. Options only limited by your sense of humours.

to 1.1 cups off-boiling water, cover, leave to cool until just warm... sugar or honey to taste. Stevia I guess, but I don't use it.

Sounds like a nice way to chill VM.

Since we're onto it, how about remedies to calm the mind and make sleep more likely the day after a big night?

If it gets interesting...or if no one answers because they don't read this post, I might just start up a new thread :)

Peace
