    spore prints?

If you're a budding microscopist i would highly suggest FSRE. A lot cheaper than SporeWorks, only a few dollars and postage!

Well done! I'm still lurking outside the local target with a trenchcoat and binoculars...

    'Hypnotist' thief

That is nuts! I'd hate to imagine what he gets up to in his spare time...
  4. I don't know why more people aren't concerned about this topic, generally speaking. There are already a bunch of ISP's (small and large) in Australia that throttle P2P or high-traffic accounts. Some without even mentioning it clearly. That doesn't bother me so much as the "Where does it end?" question does. Here is a short list. Luckily, we've got the choice of churning from ISP to ISP until we find one that's right for us. For now. My FOAF has a great plan with heaps of data, but they throttle P2P. He would never be able to reach his data quota, which he paid for, just surfing the net or downloading via FTP, etc. so he circumvents this using a Darknet, which is essentially just a VPN connection that allows the source/destination of the data to be obfuscated, along with providing a new, international IP address. If things continue the way that they're going ISP's are going to force more and more people into taking measures to ensure their online anonymity and freedom. I suggest anyone concerned/affected look into something like this.

    The looming season of le'sub

So good! FIMO's amazing stuff, i used to do all sorts of crazy things with it, pity it's so expensive. What base colour did you use? Also, did you use more than one colour or did you just paint?

    Happy Easter my friends

Is it wrong that this reminded me of Ferris Bueller before porn-music?
  9. The Presets are pretty amazing. Their new stuff is a little bollocksy in my opinion (my people, etc.) but the older stuff is energetic and fun. You should check out K.I.M. aswell who is one of The Presets and does some awesome stuff.

That sounds more like it! The 22 litre behemoths are way too far out of my price range and paying $100+ for shipping just seems unfair. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled at the local target.

    Chill out.

Happy 21st! Yeah, that sounds like Rainbow Serpent. Homebrew is software written for the DS (In C) by enthusiasts. You can find all sorts of amazing stuff, like games, OS ports (DSLinux!), web browsers, IM clients, art software (Photoshop on the go!), media players (mp3, avi...), emulators (NES,SNES,Genesis,C64) etc. There's a huge list you can check out at the Homebrew Wiki. I could go on and on about how amazing some of the software is but i'll just let you use the link, i feel like i've geek-jacked this thread long enough!

3 Months on is this still up? Would it be worthwhile PMing?

    Chill out.

Nah, i was actually referring to the Rainbow Serpent festival in Victoria. You should definitely get out to one, they're a blast! It was very much like you described. Mario went off... Super-jealous about the 360, man. I've been trying to budget one in for the last few months but when you factor in the need (okay, quasi-need...) for a HD television aswell it's exppppensive. Was Mass Effect awesome? I've heard really good things. I'm gagging for a PC version to drop. I've played all of the hitman series and they were pretty great, too. DS is heaps of fun, the big selling point for me was this little contraption: R4DS Why, if one was so inclined, you'd be able to source the ROMs online and carry around a library of brilliant DS games in your pocket on one cartridge. Of course i only use mine for homebrew software. [/geekery]

8 x 1 litres! How many/which size jars did you use for the 6 litre? My FOAF has only used the steaming method thus far on 250ml jars, hence all the questions, and has suffered no contams so far (fingers super crossed) due to crazy-clean-OCD-tendencies. Regardless, luck will only last so long! At least he's developed a good technique to carry over to better equipment. That's an amazing bargain compared to the full on sniping-fests i've seen recently on eBay for the cheaper pressure cookers. How much was shipping??

Man, that hawkins contraption is a beast! You could fit a small child in that thing... How low would you suggest i go litres-wise? For example, how many jars of... carrots or, uh, broccoli would fit to the litre? I'm probably looking at one of the lower-end ones. Poor student style.
