Aya Posted November 6, 2007 So i sowed my first Loph seeds around 2 weeks ago and i've noticed there's a bit of cobweb mold around some of the seedlings. Alot of it was attached to the husks which i removed this morning, but some are attached to the roots. What would be the best way to remove the mold? Salt water? Fungicide? Thanks for reading. blangschpeer Posted November 7, 2007 I've always found that sprinkling some sulfur dust over the whole area is the best way to get rid of mould. Most of the mould disappears after about 2 days, then once it's all gone I give the seedlings an exrta long spray with water to wash off any sulfur that's stuck to them so they don't get hurt. M S Smith Posted November 7, 2007 I usually use a root-tone powder with fungicide. I simply get it on a paintsbrush and shake or gently blow a very very light coat onto the soil, seedcoats, and seedlings. I let it sit for a few days and then use a spray bottle to wash it through. I've never used sulfer myself, but I here that is effective as well. ~Michael~
