0 JustAskSally Posted October 17, 2007 Ummmm, Syntheticus featherdalensis?Often found growing with plastic display plants. hahahaha funny bastard MORG.. I highly doubt these are artificial.. I saw a very similar colony in a snake enclosure (not on display)at Toronga zoo when i was volunteering there back in May which were definately real.. Wouldnt have a clue on ID but its sure funny to see something fruiting like that where you'd expect it to be cleaned regularly.. Peace
0 MORG Posted October 17, 2007 (edited) Dummy shrooms. The AFP plant them in garden-beds and cow-pats to catch hippies. They have been known to attach radio-collars to said hippies, release them and trace them back to their nests where they invariably find quantities of marijuana cigarettes. They look pretty fake to me but hard to tell from the photo. Also, that substrate doesn't look too inviting for fungus. 0 JustAskSally Posted October 17, 2007 dunno.. Ive seen shrooms fruiting off bare rock in the wild(of course in moist conditions) and there appears to be alot of reptile shit around the enclosure which im sure would provide the nutrients needed to fruit.... Not saying these are actually real but i would tend to think that they are only because i have seen almost the exact same thing in a different reptile enclosure which was maintained as well as this one appears to be....
