Ultraviolet illumination of Flourescent plastic can be alot more inexpensive. Just the ultraviolet souce and bend the flourescent plastic cord in different colours any way you like.

Not as good as a neon sign but almost.

It takes alot of work for neon sign.

Glass manipultation, vacumm the glass.

Putting a bit of mercury and then the right correct of gases.

And then hooking the thing to a heavy transformer.

As a added benefit nobodys going to throw a beer bottle and destroy it.

Nothing to do with LED lighting but a alternative to neon.
