The wisdom of the power plants

Recommended Posts

This is just a quick heads up to inform any interested plant heads of the weekend retreats which we are running in the coming months. As most of you are aware many of the worlds plants have strong wisdom teachings associated with them. In each community that has traditionally used these amazing plants they have dowloaded some of the finest spiritual understandings for the transformation of human conciousness and the healing of the human body. It is this wisdom that we are going to explore during these retreats. We have been developing a course/program which accesses this amazing information and are applying it along with some Taoist (through body/breath work), Incan (via the weavings of the royal incan weavings and the philosophy of Chavin), and a variety of aboriginal spiritual undertsandings from all round the globe to bring people in to full conciousness..imagine never being afraid ever again and knowing your place in the deeper mysteries of this poly-verse..the plant teachings and their associated mysteries are some of the most potent wisdoms available to us in a time where everything is in flux. The teachings remind us of the organic nature of our physical bodies and show that there is no seperation anywhere in the poly-verse..especially not between us and the pysical manifestation which is our daily reality...as the plants show us ....what is outside is inside..

If you are interested in exploring some of the wisdoms and understandings associated with these plant based traditions please contact me via pm for more information...

So.... the plants themselves will not be making a guest appearance at some stage in the proceedings? Interestingly enough I've talked with people from a few different plant lovin tribal societies and they get just as afraid about things as anyone else.On the other hand they tend to have more of a context to deal with those fears in. I hope it all works out for the weekend anyway, sounds like useful stuff.

Anyone in brisbane wants this kind of thing some mob runs N.American Drumming Circles etc at the Lyell Deer Farm near Samford.

My neighbours had a rebirthing night once, didn't tell us first...got a little shifty for a while when we dared to call the police in response to the agonised, heart broken primal screaming at 2am (think throwing a human being into a pot of boiling water and sharks).... But now we have the odd cuppa and it's all good :D

Gee, that old baptist couple sounds a bit unorthodox :)

Sorry to b a bit cynical but u realy think all this is going to b acomplished in 1 weekend?

Most people on this forum have been on similiar journeys for well over a weekend & still have fears & are still searching for their place in the "poly-verse".

Sounds like a nice get away but I doubt u will b able to deliver all u promise.

Dear friend and brother we understand sincerely the limitations faced by the ethnogenic community...we too have studied and meet many plant practioners around the world..in the mountains and in the jungles...some in our own back yard...we have seen over and over again that the plants are no pancea to the fear that is gripping all of us by the throat...20 years of experience does not make one a master...mastery comes form a willingness to be scrupuliously honest about the million and one programs that one is burdened with and to understand that it is usually the I self which responds unthinkingly to external stimuli....the plant wisdom is a conveinent tool but a tool none the less and it is only ones willingness to surrender and dissolve into the cosmic all that will see success on any level...much of the discussions that we have been witness to regarding these tools has never gone beyond a certain low level vibration...mainly because most of the world is still running on their old crappy programs..mainly because it is more comfortable to live with them that it is to try something new and challenging...not just having a trip but being the trip...

one must learn to move through fear...it is a normal part of our old illusioned self...but on the other side lives love and an endless bounty of mystery and wonder..when one understands that you are creating the very fear you are experiencing then you can choose to move through the fear and into a new way of being....my partner and i have nearly 100 years of life experience between us...and we find the game a sheer delight..all those who have circled with us and come for teaching have left feeling not only connected and empowered but are ready to work their arses off in pursuit of their dreams...we love you and wish you well with your 'cynasim'..we'ed would much rather live in hope faith and love..

Hi Tribalvision, I really like what you have said here, kudos. Unfortunately it seems you are located in Melbourne so making it to any talks (other than in my city of Adelaide) is a problem. But best of luck in spreading the wisdom of the plants

Dunno bout you guys, but to me my loves and my fears are intrinsically bound up... enough tramal can fix that, so I can float around all day on a cloud of serenity and benign indifference... but it's not very healthy no matter how I look at it :D yall take care in them thar woods, dang varmints gone n gots a taste for us already seasoned and spiced folks, ahyip.

Seriously though, some thing's I am resigned to having a go at next time around, or in the big herb garden in the sky. Not saying people can't achieve entirely what is being offered in that time frame, or longer, or at least feel that they have... just wondering how far you'd actually get in some areas or lines of work with no fear?

Watch handing out the plants anyway, remember that mob a while ago in Vic I think (might be wrong) that ended up having the bloke die from trumpets etc in the sweathouse? All kinds of paperwork there...

GD

edity bit (just to show I'm not hiding anything! Why do we do this exactly? on with the edit!)... brain you bastard, always have to edit to fit your dose of dreamin in :P We basically live between two houses, and one of those places is one of those "houses in behind" kinda streets, the other is acreage with smaller lots down one side and around the back... which means I can say "the neighbours" and be talking about around 15 different houses :D The rebirthing ones are into some theatrical things, nice people... that baptists mainly specialise in disturbingly loud piano practice at about 930 at night on a wednesday. But they've got chooks and plants so we get on (gave em a few sacks of REAL soil, just about wet their pants...though I hear that happens past a certain age anyway).

hey neil

Thanks for the questions...we love good questions and will try to answer you...my partner and I have quite an interesting story both seperately and together!!!...the together bit has been the most interesting but i will get to that.

Shane as well as being a pioneering bush kid, has been awake and concious since the age of 17 when his first mushroom journey advised him to meditate!!! (1976)..since then he has been a sincere and avaracious explorer on the road of spiritual enquiry. It has meandered alround the globe...and has touched upon most spiritual traditions...including 10 years of scriptual study..at the heart of his inquiry lay the love of nature and of the plants..he was trained as a botanist by his mother who was a member of the victorian botanising team which classified the Phlebophylla and as such his knowledge is quite unique. At one stage he sold all his possessions and was going to live in the Himalaya's as a naked sage ...but christ intervened..since then he has taken his vast wisdom and love for mankind and explored any truth he could perceive...always he has been growing and exploring the god given tools of nature and in 2004 he was introduced to a South American..Shaman/Guru and his attention turned to the traditions of the andes and lower jungles...he has travelled to peru twice and spent twice his body weight in money investigating and learning about the shamanic traditions...since then he has consistently been exploring and training in the south american traditions...he has added this to his adherance to the taoist masters of china through whom he has studied the internal methods of self-cultivation. Between 2000 and 2003 he added a course in wholistic medicine at the Melbourne College of Natural medicine to round out his ecletic knowledge...

my story is different...as a young child i was awake aware and full of spirit..but my upbringing as a Roman Catholic crushed my spirit and i went to sleep for a long time...in this period of un-remembrance i raised a family of stunning daughters...and completed 12 years of university study..I have Bac of Sec Education, a Grad Dip in Women's Studies and a Masters in Criminolgy... as such my research skills are second to none and it was this unlooked for skill that has lead me to an amazing awakening in the last 6 years...I left the University of Melbourne part way through my Phd and gave up a scholarship because i was so disallusioned with the lack of humanity and spirit in the academic world...soon after i took my first pill and discovered that one of my gifts was Shamanic Dance...I didn't know what it meant but i was going to pursue it come hell or high water!!!!...as such I kept going to psychedelic Trance parties and the combination of Nature, + Intent + Acid lead to some profoundly trancendental experiences. As such i employed my research skills, relied on spirit and everything just flowed...somehow or other I found out about Shamanism...and at a Rainbow Serpent festival (2005) i choose to commit myself to spirit....and i asked spirit to introduce me to people that had been to South America and knew knowlegable Shaman...6 weeks later shane and i meet...and as they say the rest is history!!!

We meet and within 4 weeks we were taking medicine circles together (mother (aya) and Father (san Pedro))...months later we were presenting talks and doing workshops at the EGA Conference..

http://www.entheo.net/speakers.htm...

we are the archtypial Mother and Father and spirit has been good to us and we have been downloading ancient wisdom solidly for two years. Last year we attended the Ayahusaca Conference in Iqitios and sat circle and learnt many amazing lessons with many different practicioners... it took us 6 months just to digest it all!!!...We were blessed to be the last westerners to sit circle with Don Julio who at the tender age of 92, died just days before Rainbow this year...he was an amazing teacher, as he is one of the few Shaman's who never had a teacher or a family lineage and was taught by the plants personally!!!....from him we have learnt that science can never surffice for spirit and that much can be learnt by osmosis...we will be running worshops at EGA this year (one on the wasuma wisdom and one one madre Aya)..and also giving talks on spiritual sovereignty and common law..which are massive passions for both of us...the space that we hold together is one of very high vibration and is cenetered well and truely in the heart space...as elders of our community it is important to hold a safe loving and forgiving space so all that come to us leave empowered and able to enact their own healing...no matter what happens in our circles all leave know that they are part of a family that transcends time and space..and goes beyond...to the eternal mystery...

yours in love Margaret and Shane...

This course sounds interesting, and i look forward to your speech at ega. however i have an issue with one of your points, which is your claim that you will never fear again. emotional pain including fear is useful and beneficial, grief can help you achieve closure over great loss better than cognitive or spiritual realisations, anger can help motivate and energise you to achieve justice, fear and anxiety can assist in raising awareness for performance and facilitate fight or flight responses.

I personally believe that emotion is a natural part of life, essential and desirable. Why else would we have them? Trying to control emotions uses up energy, this is where post traumatic stress disorder comes from, and arguably most psychological distress.

Yep i get your point and with all things there is always a progression of understanding...most of us are in a place where fear is an integral part of our responses...however that fear is an illusion...mainly because we are still suffering from the illusion of seperation..from our-many-aspected selves, the polyverse and everything else in existance...i myself had had to go through the whole gamut of emotions and internal workings to get to these understandings...being a woman I sincerely embrace the emotions...all of them..as the language of the soul...i love a bloody good cry..especially when I am channelling the suffering of the world...but i realise that there is a still place where all things exist..and where I am no longer subject to my emotions...this is when i am fully present!!!!!...and to be fully present..is to be in bliss and love...and the world becomes one huge sandpit in which we play and have experiences...which are in themselves part of our dreaming..

here's a piece of writing from a guy named Leonard Jacobson..it fully explains how I see and view this issue..hope you like it..

To be present is to awaken into that dimension of your self and that dimension of life which is transcendent of the thinking mind. You are silent and you are fully present with what is actually here now. If you are fully present, there is no moment other than this moment. That is what it means to be awake in the truth of life. You are so fully present that you exist in this moment, and only in this moment. You are awake in the eternal now. At the very deepest level of awakened Presence, the past and future have disappeared and only the present moment is available to you. You cannot function within the world of time, for the simple reason that there is no time. There is no sense of your self outside of this moment.

This does not mean that one who has awakened is always functioning at the deepest level of Presence. It is possible to function at a more superficial level of Presence so that the world of time becomes available. Even when you participate in the world of time, you are still deeply grounded in Presence and the present moment is always recognized as the truth of life.

If you are fundamentally awake in Presence you live without judgment, fear and desire. You live in a state of acceptance. You live as Love in the world. The illusion of separation has dissolved. You live with a strong sense of the Oneness of all things and a continuing awareness of the impersonal or eternal dimension of existence. You see others as equal and enlightened, even if they are unaware of it. This extends to animals and the world of nature. It is impossible for you to intentionally harm another. You are compassionate and you always act with integrity. You cannot be dishonest. There is something inside you which simply will not allow it. When you are fundamentally awake in the truth of life, you are substantially free of ego motivations and reactions.

This is not to imply that one who is awake is somehow perfect. At times, you can react like any one else, and experience fear and uncertainty, or feelings like hurt and anger. The difference is that now, you know that you are caught temporarily in the illusion of separation. You do not believe in the story that is presenting itself to you. You know that the past is somehow projecting itself into the present. You do not identify with the experience or any emotional reactions arising out of the experience. And yet, you take full responsibility for whatever you are experiencing. The experience is owned and accepted, but not acted upon as if it is the truth. In the midst of constant change, you know yourself as the One who never changes.
