Ace Posted August 3, 2007 You learn something new every day! That is funny because even in almost all the literature I have read on the old cannabis plant, they call these dual-sex plants hermaphrodites. Just goes to show you cant trust everything you read in a book!
Ace Posted August 13, 2007 Just curious - does anyone think they could pin point the genetics of Sphinx's foaf's plant? I was thinking its stature and bud density look mostly indica, but the leaves are leaning towards sativa IMO - would anyone agree/disagree? Does anyone have any sort of idea when it comes to breaking these things down? Perhaps a ~70:30 indica:sativa hybrid?
cisumevil Posted August 13, 2007 Looks mostly Sativa to me, but imposible to really tell, might be a Sativa x Kush strain but I cant see much Indica in her.
shruman Posted August 14, 2007 Deffinitely sat dominant, sativa typicaly have longer skinnier leaf blades, longer calyx's, longer skinnier buds with generaly higher leaf to calyx ratio. My guess to its shorter stature is cause it was started late in the season with only a minimal amount of long day short night photoperiod (if any) & it also looks to have been topped (probly more than 1). The percentage is a tricky thing & I woudnt guess especialy with hybrids as u can have phenotypes of either parent as well as a mix of both & the percentage only refers to the ratio of the parentage. botanicalSEEKER Posted August 20, 2007 Sativa hybrid of some sort, imo i doubt it is a sat x kush. Its a sativa leaning hybrid none the less , a dead give away is the thin leaves and legnthend nodes , also sativa plants "foxtail" these look like slender arms of calyx's that grow out of the buds and from the pictures i can see it starting to happen.
