Hi Dirty Old Man,

A FOAFOM said that he used this method

1. Brown rice flour and verm cakes (250ml).

2. When Myc fully colonised, 2 cakes crumbled in plastic bags.

3. Cased with Verm floor and crumbled Myc placed on top and then 50/50 verm and peat mix on the top of

myc at depth of 1cm.

4. Incubated for 4 days in total darkness (no peaking) at 26C

5. Perlite Terairium (20 - 23 deg) with daily misting and fanning until pinning starts (5 - 7 days)

6. Shrooms

John Allen strain 83 gram first flush (wet)

cheers

I've tried this method and the humidity tent method and i have to say this is a lot more preferable.

a) Even if you have a couple going at once they don't take up much space.

B) You can have a few casings go at once but at different stages, makes it easier to manage casings.

c) Lots easier to keep clean.

Just thought I'd put that in since you said it was your first grow...

Nice post and pics - i would have thought they were palenque or a mexican cubie strain and i would have suggested that they were too meaty for BRF, but well done either way to your friend.

DOnt dry them - eat them fresh - cubies are shit dried - they lose a lot of potency.

Hi Bluemeanie,

He dried them in a food dehydrator with the heating element disconected for about 48hours. He said that 3.5g brewed in a Chai tea for 30 minutes put him into a sea of fractal and energy grid bliss.

and they will - just can lose a bit of potency in drying compared to something like subs.

Not compared to W.A. subs, W.A. subs are pretty much good for wiping ur ass with as far as I'm concerned. Cubies, fridge dried are the BOMB!

Hi Naja Naja,

I have not heard of the fridge drying method........Is it just a case of putting the babies in a paper bag? How long does it take and storage?

NMethyl, I will ask my FOAF if he has any.

Cheers
