Recommended Posts

I have this sub (i think its a sub) and its gone wwaaaayyy more blue than any other i've seen.

does this mean there is more drug in it?, does it mean it is stronger? or has it just bruised more??

when i go to post a picture it says "Sorry, dynamic pages in the tags are not allowed". i think its the way i started the topic..

neways.. i never knew that.. the more damaged they get the more of the goodies you actualy loose.

That makes scence, but no, this mushroom is not especialy more damaged than others

Blueing is thought to indicate oxidation of Psilocin.

More bluing only really means more oxidation, and doesn't give much indication as to potency.

oh ok..

so its safe to suggest the mushroom has less of somthing than it does of somthing else.

say Psilocybin oxidating into Psilocin?

I don't remember exactly, but I think it's the Psilocin oxidisig into something unactive.

Psilocybin is quite stable and I don't think it breaks down too easy.

The bluing is a reaction between enzymes and psilocin connected with oxidisation - some suggest that it depends on the amount of these enzymes present in the mushroom, others suggest that the darker it stains either the more psilocin is lost through oxidisation or the more potent the mushroom is.

the darker the stain in my experience the more potent the mushroom though.
