    On compassion.

Unconditional to me is a state where you are not seeing the world as good or bad, you aren't ranking its parts and giving them labels in order to navigate through it. Instead you navigate with your intuition, or your sense of where you should be. but i guess you can't communicate that which is without labels (as we rely on labels to communicate, bit of a paradox).

    On compassion.

i tend to lean toward the mahayana def. but personally my idea is that compassion is the state when we act unconditionally (lovingly), that is we place no restriction on our actions and simply do what feels right. [ 01. February 2005, 14:39: Message edited by: spiralfire ]

    Are we in Hell?

Christianty (the bible and the whole package) is too many "chinese whispers" away from the source for my liking! There are so many other cosmolgies which have an intuitively truer ring to them and as far as i know guilt and sin where injected into these pre-existing religions later on down the track...

    Are we in Hell?

Ahh, i've never read the book, but methinks i'll have to check it out (one of things i have trouble with is being comfortable in the "cogs" ) yeah the internet is such an amazing tool for exploring and evolving ones spiritual viewpoint

    Are we in Hell?

"Give Up" what do you mean by that? like stop trying to be more then you are, and then you will simply be given growth? I fully agree that it's an error to fight with life in an attempt to battle your way through it. But giving up is the other extreme of the same stick, isn't it? I've found that it is better to TRY while not being attached to the failures or success', simply flow with it and go where it leads you (ie the failure or success in life are where Hells at, Heaven is enjoying the path, maybe?) if only i could apply that to every living moment not an easy thing to do, but i'm not going to keep trying

    Are we in Hell?

^^ seems right to me, get lost so you can find yourself, otherwise how do you know who, what, where you are... i wounder if those who believe they are in heaven think are seeking hell?

    Are we in Hell?

Methinks the way out would be to not be effected by good or bad, to accept it all as experince, rather then ordering it on a scale 1 - 10 (is that delusional?) theres only hell if you believe in heaven (n vice versa). also hell couldn't be eternal if there was a heaven surely. this would be like saying the pendulm only swings to one side...

    the plants found you?

i was driving home one afternoon and i caught this golden glow/highlight out of the corner of my eyes in a padock i drive past all the time. so i pulled over (i instantly thought mushrooms - but i had never actually found them before, i'd been given shrooms by freinds though). anyway so i check the padock and it was loaded with the most potent cubensis i have ever had to this day... i havent found any shrooms in that paddock for the last two seasons after they found me...

    Doof experience question

I see some doof parties as having a religious aspect (some are pretty far from anything spiritual). You have ppl entering states of gnosis (either through the physical strain of dancing all night, or psychedelics, or both). The thing I find interesting about a doof is that they claim no real focus, there are no set guidlines for participants to follow. You get out of it whatever you want, some chose not to pursue any spiritual growth, while others do (and there is no judgement as to your preference). It's what I imagine earlier religions may have started as before politics & heirarchy moved in (making them organised). Best of luck on the Feild Report mate

    A salvia desricption

Being, the voices (there were heaps of them all around me) were speaking in english, they sounded like munchkins (if you can imagine one of those chipmonk things but not such a squeky/high pitched voice). i usually hear a voice on salvia, similar to what adrian described: "odd thoughts translated by memories and sometimes weird gramatical spiels(plays on words)." i get the feeling that the sentences i hear have meaning in the connection or relationship between each word, likes it's the gap between words that i should be listening to (not the sentence itself) hehehe if that makes any sense, shit :]

    A salvia desricption

My first time with salvia gave that spiralling effect. First i heard little voices muttering something like "it's coming" then everything started to spiral/implode into my centre. at the same time i was my environment (so i was spiraling into myself). it freaked me out big time!! my last trip went something like this: I smoked 1 full cone and held it for a good 20secs, after about a minute it jumped on top of me and i couldn't help but close my eyes. an elevator type thing appeared in the left side of my face, rotating around my eye ball. Then my body was forced to the ground while some presence was talking me through the next phase. it flatened my body into a sheet and began folding me/the sheet into some kind of abstract sculpture, which was constantly being altered and complexified by this "other". after about 5mins of this (i'm not sure how long it went on for, i was oblivious to the outside world) it was all over. Most of my trips have been rewarding and less intense though, they seem to have a humurous feel and almost always transport me to a zero gravity feel (i am able to rotate my body and fly). Very weird and interesting so far :]
