Ahh thanks san p exactly what I was thinking off, is the sulphur powder expensive or hard to come by?

Tripsis I really hope so, I was thinking of spraying it with a diluted bleach solution or re-cutting the tops and applying some powder (the name of which escapes me at the moment) to help them dry out. I think i'll let them go though and just keep a close eye on them for the moment.

Thanks everyone, Tripsis the Browningia hertlingiana certainly seems to fit the bill. I haven't ever heard of one before but its definitely one of my favourite cacti from my collection. Love its spines! PD mines getting a fair amount of water at the moment so I'm glad mentioned they don't like it to wet I think i'll move it accordingly.

Yeah I wasn't convinced myself hence the post, I saw a post someone made about a cuzco ID the other day and it had very similar features to this one but still slightly different. Thanks for the speedy reply anyway!

It looks like a scop in the side on pic but the birds eye view certainly looks like a pach of some sort to me.

These are my fastest growing trichs, pretty much my only but they certainly are quick. The first photo is Mid december 2010 and although the 2nd photo is a terrible angle to measure their size against you can clearly see they've put on considerable growth. The 2nd photo was taken on the 13th March 2011. The first photo was taken the day those cuttings were planted however I'm unsure what specific clone they came from. Anyone know if the spiny one is a trich?

I make my own out of bamboo, don't have pics right now but i'll post some soon.
