    Clumping Bamboo

water saving crystals FTW! a 1kg bucket should do about 75 000 litres EDIT: Have you thought about using a fast growing alternative like Syzygium (lilly pilly) or boring Murraya paniculata (Mock orange), or the prickly Duranta repens 'Sheenas Gold', which should give him a nice surprise if he ever tries to come over your fence and through your hedge trying to poison things. You could call it 'Sacrificial Sheena'! If not perhaps tiger grass, that stops about the height you need to screen. Keep in mind even the dwarf forms of most cultivars of clumping bamboo will go to at least 5m, and some much taller, maybe giving you more than you bargained for if your planning on being there for more than 4-5 years (ie no sunlight or a shit load of work), not to mention there not usually cheap to purchase.

    Wtb pereskiopsis

Hey folks. Looking to get my hands on some pere. Need a fair bit so willing to do a few buys. The lusher the better , but will also buy old wood for shooting new stock Anyone out there think there is anything better as a stock than pere for the likes of young globular seedlings like Astro, Ario, Loph etc? Thanks 2deep

    Selling lots of plants

if there is anything on your wish list guys, i highly advise contacting Jox. If you have a good reputation around here, then I don't think there is much that you can't add to your collection ;). Especially those of you possibly interested in mutant trichs (Nitrogens gene pool), loph, and normal trich crosses.

SE QLD Plant Sale Pickup only

Hey guys (and gals) just wanted to let you all know that my back is not that bad. Im still able to work, but all it takes is 1 or 2 days off, which may very well still occur in the coming weeks, and im screwed good and proper, so as much as im still selling the plants, I just wanted to re-inforce that I love you all and thank you for everyone's concern, but please do not feel like I MUST be helped. There are many more in much dire circumstances than myself, however like i said I could still use the coin, I just hate selling plants to the community that has given so much to me, but i prefer to sell them here than on eBay for ridiculous prices to strangers, who may just eat or cook their entire aquisition, instead of respecting, caring, and learning about them, and then sustainable using/harvesting when they are 'ready'. On that note, I am working through the plethora of replies, and plants will be sold on a first come first serve basis, based on the times PM's or public responses were left. I've a pretty full on schedule at the moment, but I will work to get back to everyone as promptly as possible. Thanks 2Deep

SE QLD Plant Sale Pickup only

Pickup from Canungra. You will need a trailer or ute for many of them. Regretable sale of many of my plants as I've fallen on tough times, and could use the money. Hurt my back and i'm only casual at Bunnings Nursery's and staring down the barrel of a few weeks off with no money, so time to sell some plants, so me and my family can eat/pay rent etc. I hate selling my plants (i prefer giving them away), but some of these are my big mothers, that i struggle to find the time to care for these days and like i said i could use the coin so heres the list. PM me or leave messgaes here if you are interested, or need to see photos to convince you. Also have a few big mothers of some other entheo's i won't list, that I will let go for the right price, to trusted members only. If you feel youve enough clout on the forum, feel free to PM me, either asking for specific plants, or If i know you you can have the 'entire' list. Genuine buyers only please. 11. Fear not drpotato! Your Psychs will do it every year until they are mature. I had to learn the hard way lol. In the amazon, they are usually protected from any kind of frost or cold, so overwintering in a greenhouse through mid June to late august, is necessary(in SE QLD anyway) if you want to avoid them dropping their leaves. Once they are about 3ft+ and established, they can usually handle winter outside in a pot, but will shrivel still. Because of the dryness of winter, be sure to foliar spray, and water your Psychs regularly, winter or not! Searles premium potting is the goods! Once they are about 1to 1&half feet, plant into cheap 510mm black pot, filled with the above. Oh and seasol the shit out of your sad psychs( all over leaves too in morning) , and get the humidity up somehow(get creative if u have to), and watch them bounce back for you Hope the info helps!

    Citrus soil mix help

Find the best premium potting mix u can in your area. For me it's Searles. The searles is actually better I've found for citrus than the Scott's osmocote citrus formulated potting mix. Water it in well with seaweed emulsion (seasol for me). Mulch with Lucerne or sugar cane depth of 25-40 mm , and leave a 100 mm diameter circle of no mulch around the trunk to stop collar rot. Mix in a handful of gypsum clay breaker to the soil if you want for the calcium, without modifying ph, which will already be right on and slightly acidic (6.3-6.5), perfect for MOST citrus. Don't use high nitrogen ferts in attempts to pump rapid growth, or the citrus leaf miner will savage the new flushes of light green, sap filled growth.

    after Murraya koenigii in brissy

tarenna, I have seen first hand the invasive nature of this species, and it's common brother species M.paniculata, which is used extensively for hedging. Can confirm both are running wild all over the lower tributaries of the Nerang river, south of Mt. Tamborine, and Lower Beechmont. These should not be allowed on rental properties, where tenants let them go, thus putting on a smorgasbord for the birds. Same goes for Durantha , gold and geisha girl. Doublebenno, On a slightly more on-topic note, I reckon curry bush is better for use with cuisine than curry-leaf, but hey, each to their own.
  14. Always interested in your seeds mate. Would love a list of species/ prices/ pack size etc Mainly after any globular (unless they trichos of monstrose or crested lineage) seeds. Astro, ario, gymno, mam, coryphantha etc Could always try and get a few back to u on perri one day too

    Cacti collection for sale

Couldn't think of anyone more deserving of a turn of good fortune. Hope it works out, and stoked to know ill still have your collection to fap over when I'm up visiting :D My advice to all us gardeners out there, as an investment, is to sow 100 Lophophora seeds, don't become emotionally attached to them, and then on rainy days, you won't feel like a 1st world ebay-whore... And even better, won't have to huck your most prized amongst your collection!

se QLD and Nrth NSW meet ups

Hey slayertat. Was a pleasure meeting yourself and interbeing. (Jox it's always a pleasure mate ;) ) Hope we were able to tick a few off the list for you. Hit me up in like a month and I'll have a few others from the list for you. Inter being thank you very much for your gifts and goodies. Was a privilege to be able to partake. Andy, I did move to horsham vic, but moved back about 2 months ago. I could write an Iliad on the story of my move, and how my car and 7x5 trailer was packed full of my collection on full view across 1900 km and back :S I remember reading a post a while back about a certain member who was asking for advice on travelling across states with scheduled plants, and all I could do was laugh. Good to be back, and great to be meeting more of the community. Must make it a regular thing, so I can meet all the rest of you long time lurkers

    Is tipz still around?

Tipz has been a more than generous member to me over the years, and a very GM trader usually. I'm sure when he's back, he will explain, and more than compensate those who were left waiting. But like GoT said. If anyone has his number, find out whats going on. I was also under this impression.

    Roadside Drug Swabs

Darkspark can attest to this one! 2 years ago I was on my way to Nimbin mardigrass, and had consumed about 3 'cones' about 1 hour before leaving for the 1 hour 20 min drive there. About 10-15 minutes out from nimbin I get the signal from a roadside van to pull over, and they do the usual breath test. Then he pulls out a 'swab', and says hes going to conduct a roadside swab, and asked if Id used one before, to which i answered 'no, but I know what they are'. He then asked if i had used any Cannabis or amphetamines in the past 48 hours, to which I replied,"I hate amphetamines. They're a horrible class of drugs.". He says "So what about the other stuff?" and i say "Oh pot? thats a whole different kettle of fish, i wouldn't be attending a cannabis festival if i wasn't for it. "OFFICER: So when was the last time you had a smoke?" (I hate how they automatically assumed I smoked it?) ME: Looking at my car clock stating 10:11 am, thinking shit i cant tell them it was just over 2 hours ago "Ahhh about 6 oclock this morning when i woke up with all my mates". Officer: Ok well we'll just wait and see how the test goes then. I preceded to push the swab to the back of my mouth and scrape it correctly as he had instructed me to. I thought about not pressing down on the back of my outh when saliva accumulates, then dragging only on the tip, but i thought 'Stuff it. If todays the day, todays the day'. Please note I have no criminal history for anything ever, so this whole episode was freaking me out just a little. Gave the swab back to officer as i asked to hop out of car with friends for the 10-15 minute wait. He agreed, asked if i could have ciggi. He said nah not to test results back, I asked if friends still could. Happily replied yes. As friends spark up, Flouro-PLUR-combi-raver van drives by with guy with big black rasta dredlocks, and the officedr and I exchange friendly banter about why I got targeted in my white VS commodore, while they let the 'stereotypical' user happily go by. lol. 10 minutes later another guy pops his head out of the van and says to the officer I've been talking to and who swabbed me 'nah hes right', and the cop smiles & tells me i can go, wishes me a good time at mardigrass. Me and my friends went on our way, as we all breathed a sigh of relief. Me because I'm still squeaky, and my mates because they weren't 'thumbin-it' the last 15 km to Nimbin. Please note I did not feel 'high' or 'under the influence' when I started my journey. As a somewhat regular user, after 1 hour from my '3 cones', I felt slightly relaxed maybe, and by the time I had the actual swab, almost 2 hours exactly after using', i felt very little- to no effects from the substance. Im pretty sure the anxiety at being swabbed 2 hours after using marijuana was justified, and not a result of the substance itself lol. I had heard that they(AUS) actually roadside test for 11-Hydroxy-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol, abbreviated as 11-OH-THC, which is the primary and 'still active' first metabolite of Tetrahydrocannabinol(THC) or more precisely its main isomer (−)-trans-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol ((6aR,10aR)-delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol). This is instead of (like many countries) testing for 11-OH-THC's further metabolized and non-active in the psychoactive sense '11-nor-Delta(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol-9-carboxylic acid' (THC-COOH). Which hangs around in the body long after use, and is most-often what your coming up against if your getting urine screened for work or legal purposes in AUS. In short, I think because i didnt 'feel high', was legible and clearly alert during my conversation with the police, that their gas chromatography or whatever could not determine levels of 11-OH-THC sufficient enough to suggest that my cognition and or ability to drive was altered or impaired. THC-COOH VS 11-OH-THC. The difference between USE and UNDER THE INFLUENCE
