    Heimia Salicifolia

Yeah I heard that somewhere in QLD several years back there used to be Heimia pills going around. I guess it's only a very mild relaxant and maybe effects alot of people differently. Guess I'll try it myself and see how it goes! Cheers for your input guys!

    WA trades

bloody oath mate, I remember posting something about that not long ago. Someone told me that they already do have some sort of "meet up" happening in Perth. Would be great to organise a meet/trade/bbq day down at a local beach or park somewhere around Perth so it's not too far for everyone to travel. Or we can just get shitfaced at my joint, have a bbq and do some trading! definitely needs to be looked into for sure! Even a camping trip around Autumn time would be great too! Go for a mission down south to the sacred forests!

    WA trades

WA restrictions are a bloody joke mate, they are absolute wankers about anything and everything even if already in Australia. I have my plants sent from over east in sterile peat moss and the sender has a note stating clean/sterile peat moss, usually WA AQIS will let it through but you still run the risk. If you stick around mate and get to know some WA locals on this site I am sure they will be more than willing to help you out! There is some VERY generous people on this site, very!

    American Staffordshire Terrier

Bloody oath they take alot of crap from kids because they're so robust and placid. My boy is the same.. great with other big AMSTAFFS but when we take him to the dog park, you see his anxiety rise quickly because its all new to him. We let him into the play yard with about 30 other dogs and atleast 10-15 of them came sprinting over (greyhounds n all) to see our boy, he absolutely SHAT his pants and just submitted with paws up on the floor, let them all sniff him and then off they went! Other dogs there did not like to be mounted, causing a bit of a snarl match! As our boy is only 6mths he has to get his instinct under control haha, he had no idea! The only dog there that seemed to bond instantly with him was a gorgeous 3mth old red-nose pitty. The shear courage of the amstaff is unbelievable! If a labrador got snapped at he would just ignore it and keep walking.. but the pure courage of the Amstaff, one dog has a go at him and thats it, he's in for the long haul! Bloody amazing dogs!! If I lived where you are sly I would be taking that gorgeous girl home today! GAH! I cannot stop looking at her!

    American Staffordshire Terrier

Long story short.. the AMSTAFF is NOT an APBT, never has been never will be! What shits me though is that the general public(sheep) are looking at the AMSTAFF as a Pitbull coz they know F' ALL, and I personally think in the next 5 years, with enough USELESS owners not caring for their AMSTAFF and SBT.. they will be regulated as the Pitty is. I agree with you Sally, being a bigger dog (with lock jaw) that does have much more power than a shitszu they need a firmer pack leader(owner) and NEED to be given attention and socialised with other dogs ALOT! It just so happens that from my exp smaller dogs are MUCH more vicious, especially towards kids. It's just that they are piss weak so will do next to no harm.. My daughter is laying out the back as we speak playing "cuppa teas" with my AMSTAFF. It is DEFINITELY the owners responsibility to train their dog properly and socialise it, but I also think that because the poor APBT has been bred for fighting, for such a long time! Any Pitbull you buy today, no matter how trained it is, may have the potential to "snap". As it's still in their genes because they have not been bred long enough for companionship which means that their parents or grandfather was probably a vicious fighting dog. The AMSTAFF may still be used underground for all we know.. but they would not be ANKC dogs, so like Sly is saying unless you buy an ANKC registered AMSTAFF.. you may be getting a BYB AMSTAFF which somewhere down the line was probably crossed with Pitty's.

    Free HBWR seeds

Hey guys, just thinning out some of my seeds as the stash is getting a little large, and I dont want thousands of HBWR seedlings lol. They are within 4mths old so still very viable! First three people to post on this thread will get a free pack of 10 seeds each! As far as I've been told, they got treated with a sulphur dust (food grade) similar to what SAB does.

    Poppy seedlings dying off.

Hey guys!! Just wondering why the hell my poppy seedlings germinate SO fast and healthy but then at roughly 1" high just as the dummy leaves fully open they kark it? Going soft and piss-weak at the base and falling flat to their death?? I have read about damping off and was using old soil the first attempt, so I purchased a new block of coir-peat and tried again with some glad wrap over the top, air holes poked in and a 100w equivelant blue spec fluro. My main thoughts are that it may be from no fluctuation in night temps which I've heard they almost need! Also the humidty from the glad wrap seems to be creating a white cotton mould within the week probably from the top soil being too wet and humid? I'm going to try it again, even though it's picking up in temps over here I just need to get the fuckers past 3-4" and I'll be happy for next years attempt in spring! Maybe I should try 100% vermiculite? or.. mix some perlite/verm with the coir-peat block, or remove the coir-peat all together. Who knows.. many options haha. Any info would be great guys! CHEERS!

$150 is a bloody steal for an 8.5 Litre. Those Russell Hobbs PC's do look a bit flimsy.. I borrowed a "no-namer" PC from the lady over the road which looked identical, even though I only had to sterilise BRF and verm I figured to go overboard rather than run more of a risk with contams, but yeah her PC was so flimsy, the whistle wouldnt lift up itself as I think pressure was escaping out the side slightly but I'm sure it was atleast 10-12 PSI anyhow, I had to re-screw all the handles on tightly too and when you release the steam it all comes outta the handles haha.. good enough for BRF and Verm. I'm actually really tempted to buy just an 8L Classic Style Hawkins PC. They seem hardy as hell and have a great rep behind the brand name. On Ebay, I think a 7ltr Hawkins Classic PC was only roughly $89 plus 20-odd for postage, might havta get the missus onto it for me chrissy prezzy!

Looks like there is definitely others worse than old jukey! I received a message from Ebay warning me that they had to remove a bid I'd placed on a Russell Hobbs 8L pressure cooker for only $99. They would not say why they had to remove it but strongly recommended that if it was re-listed to not place another bid on it. So just thought I'd let all you dudes know that if your chasing a pressure cooker on Ebay.. stear away from a seller advertising the Russell Hobbs pressure cookers, not sure of the sellers name I will have to have a look but I think they are the only seller advertising the Russell Hobbs brand. Dodgey bastards..

IMO the APBT is no different to the Amstaff when it comes to blood.. but.. The APBT has been bred strictly for its tenacity and its more athletic body (slightly taller than Amstaff). The Amstaff for the last 80 years has been bred strictly for its temperament. They are the same yes.. but the temperament of the Amstaff has been bred more for their companionship.. Sadly.. Idiots have bred the pitbull for sports/fighting because they will do ANYTHING the owner wants them to do, just for a praise! All staffs are like that too.. I feel its so wrong that they judge pitbulls the way they do because some F**KWIT owner has trained him/her for fighting.. APBT, Amstaff and English Staffy's are ALL gorgeous dogs and they are the only dogs I would EVER get.. I have seen maltese shit kickers go at my 2 yr old daughter.. But never our Amstaff.. NEVER! My mate has just recently had to get his Pitbull "THOR" de-sexed due to the ranger hassling him.. it is so wrong, but unfortunetly they are the best dog for fighting and have been for 100 odd years.. It is all up to the owner..!

    Kanna Sceletium tortuosom

Hey dude, you might also be interested in looking for some Aptenia Cordifolia, from what I've heard it's meant to be a decent substitute to Kanna. Can't seem to find any proven research on it though.. everything seems to point straight to Sceletium for the full effects.

    Kanna Sceletium tortuosom

What are the differences between the Griffonia Simplicifolia and Kanna? I am taking 5-HTP at the moment and am wondering if using Sceletium aswell would cause more bad than good. ^ - Scrap that.. haha I just realised it is nothing like 5-HTP.. I dunno what bloody plant I was thinking about that is similar to the Griffonia. But Sceletium.. This is DEFINITELY something I must look into!

    Poppy seedlings dying off.

Cheers mate, just figured growing them for ornamental purposes was ok. Scratching them for opium is suicide in my opinion and would be extremely f**king addictive! Will look into it further before posting, thanks for the heads up though dude! I guess it's not incriminating myself though, if I can't get the bastards to grow! haha

    Poppy seedlings dying off.

No worries mate, thanks for that! I thought I could maybe 'imitate' an early spring with a blue spec fluro light, but obviously without night-time fluctuations they just keel over!

    This Community

Hey guuuuyyys! Was thinking about this Forum to myself last night and it just occurred to me that I can't talk to anyone I know in person, family or friends about things to do with plants, ethnobotany, pharmacology, mycology etc. I get all excited when I'm studying something new and love to talk all about it and everything I've learnt, my plans or future projects n all that! They just stare at me with a blank face, even my missus. It just goes PHHHWWOOOOOOM! Straight over their heads everytime haha.. it's kinda frustrating though because you can tell they really dont give a toss. So I just thought I'd start a topic saying that I f**king love this forum! haha, everybody is on the same wave length and learning from the more experienced members. People on here are so generous and kind hearted, I've never been on a forum where people go out of their way to PM you just to offer you something for free that they didn't have at the time.. It's amazing! The best part is you can talk as much jibber jabber as you like about plants or anything.. and people understand what your on about and are actually INTERESTED! lol. I look forward to MANY wonderful and exciting years to come on this forum, I think we need to organise some sort of piss up/bbq day down a local beach somewhere for each state, trade some plants etc. Meet the locals in person, good times! PEACE ALL! LikeAshes
