hi people!im a proud new owner of my firstfew lophs.I live in orange n.s.w with very cold winters,to -6!!! and mild spring/summers max temp 30 degrees. I currently have them outside in decent weather , and the rest of the time under an inverted fish tank covered in foil lit by an ordinary houselight..i am new to cacti, my pedros do well here but i think my lophs will struggle.Any tips and info would be GREATLY appreciated!!! cheers jono.

thanks alot for the advice.I also meant to ask what it means when they start turning a purple shade???does this mean the lophs are to cold? or a fungal problem?ive removed the tank and well seehow they go,thanks again for ur help!jono

yep smogs they are small 1 cm by 2.5cm only recently bought them , since they arrived two have become discolored a purple color and are a little squishy and seem to be shrinking a little. thanks for ur reply.i believe they may be slowly getting better since i hsve been keeping them warm and lit in the fishtank.Is a normal houselight enough to keep them going when in close proximity?
