    Small boy kills giant pig

Piggers that i have known have had hand guns (not so much anymore) so that if the boar decides to turn and fight they have a weapon that is more easily handled at short range. Generally not asthe primary weapon as they are grossly inaccurate at long range. While i understand that pigging is a necessary part of life in agriculture, I think that this story is absolutlely disgusting. That boar must have been bloody tame as otherwise it would have turned and ripped that little shit to shreads. Boars generally aren't scared of a metre tall dickhead with a pop gun.

Left Brain v Right Brain Test

That is really amazing!! I looked at it for ages and couldn't get her to move anything but clockwise, i thought it was some kind of joke that i was missing. But then when i was reading i noticed that she had indeed started going anti-clockwise. So when i was engaging the left side of my brain i could see it going the "left brain way". But as soon as i stopped reading and stared for a bit the right side kicked straight back in and she started turning clockwise once again. Thats cool as. Actually i just did another experiment to see how long i could keep the girl going anti-clockwise. I can keep her going the one way for awhile but as soon as my mind wanders she started going clockwise again.

    Police estimates of drug value

I was in court with a friend of mine for drink driving (i'd never been before and wanted to see what it was like, actually pretty boring) and there was this guy i knew who had been caught with a few ounces of weed however his lawyer assured the judge that it was only $10 worth, ie a gram. Didn't matter he got in trouble and subsequently was not allowed to go on an overseas holiday that he had been planning for for some time. Anyway i went up to him and asked what happened. He was driving his car along when he got pulled over for rbt or something. When he saw the lights he got his last bit of bud and stuffed into a liqour bottle. The cops searched his car and found this bud in the liqour bottle mixed with vodka or something. When they weighed the bud they actually weighed the entire liquid as the thc would've infused in the alcohol, and thus he was charged with possesion of a few ounces of weed!! And he didn't get to go to america, he'd paid for the ticket and everything! So thats how the law works, not really based in reality at all.

How does camphor stunt plant growth?

I made a vege garden awile ago, dug the soil up, lots of manure, gypsum etc and everything was going fine. I got good harvest of baby spinach, rocket, bok choy, tatsoi, basil, lettuce, snow peas, a few tomatos, carrots, beets, broccolli and a few other things. Anyway about a month ago i noticed that the plants on the edges of the garden started to get really stunted, (basil, sivler beet and s tomato) but didn't really think anything of it. Anyway after all the plants looked "spent" and seeing how it was the begginnning of spring i decided to pull all the plants that looked a bit shitty and dig up the soil to add more manure and compost. As i wsa digging up the garden i could smell the telltale scent of camphor and sure enough, the bloody roots had invade my garden once again. What i want to know is whether it is the camphor sucking all the nutrients out of the soil that is killing the plants or the actual presence of the camphor roots releasing poison to stunt my veges. And is there a way to stop them getting into my soil? I was thinking of digging a deep trench (a metre or so) right around the garden and putting tin, plastic and a heap of urea (to burn the roots) in the trench to try and stop them invading. Either that or building planter boxes above the soil so that they can't get in. Another interesting thing i have noticed with the camphors is that they seem to make the soil hard and crumbly, the soil seems to form in big clay clods, even in the presence of gypsum. Also, are there any plants that can tolerate these camphors?

We're after you: police tell partygoers

I didn't read all the posts cause i just nicked in to check my emails for a sec so if anyone else has posted this then apologies for repitition. At last splendour I heard there were alot of people triple wrapping their goodies in water balloons and then popping them in their mouths. If they got pulled up they swallowed them and regurgitated them once they had been searched and got inside, think sculling alot of beer. And if they didn't get pulled up then happy days. Just what i heard.

How does camphor stunt plant growth?

So if i built a sail out of clear plastic over my plants this should stop the stunted growth? THere really doesn't seem to be that many leaves on the mulch, but alot of them dropped their leaves recently so maybe it was that.

    Perlite and equipment advice

THe lights my mate uses for seedlings is a brand called litetronics. THey're only 27watts but he just uses a few and because they're not long the light is more concentrated, or thats his theory anyway.

    HHH Raided?

i really think that sometimes it is better to use synthesised chemicals. It lowers costs and saves lives. I don't know how many squids it takes to make a dose of octopamine but if i were to take a dose for whatever reason i would def prefer that it was made in a lab rather than having it made from innocent squids. I think the pill used to cost heaps until they learnt how to synthesise the actives rather than getting it out of pigs.

    Perlite and equipment advice

I think the perlite price is a little expensive, i think the last bag i bought was about $35. But the stuff lasts forever! I've been making my own potting mixes for a while now. If you go to bunnings and get a 94L block of coco peat for $10, some course sharp sand for $7 (i think) and the perlite for whatever you pay and mix her up in a 44gallon drum you end up with an amazing amount of potting mix. The mix won't have any ferts in it but this is good thing as you can cater to each plants indiviual needs. Also you can make it up according to your needs so when you put seeds in you just use the sand and coco peat and for cacti lots of sand and perlite and a little coco peat. If you get lazy or have plants with llittle specific needs you can just add some osmocote or some other slow release fert to your mix and not even worry about adding ferts. As for the cool tubes i have a friend who uses 27watt curly fouros with a 5000k rating (i'm pretty sure thats to do with light spectrum) for rainsg seeds and cuttings that take for ages, I've always found that filtered light works best so whatever you're raising doesn't have to be hardened off. But mymate finds the curly flouros to be effective. Hope this helps

    Petition for civil liberties

Whoa entheofarm, why would you want to abuse me? I read this I feel your reluctance to allow a consultation period is an indication you are doing this for you and not us and thought it didn't make sense, if he includes all chemicals then he is including everyone who may need to use those chemicals, even if you don't. No it should not only be cannabis * Yes it should include all natural things * No I don't support the free use of ALL chemicals. * two seperate issues being religous rights and free rights * I will not enter into division and competitions, I will support any common sense petition for free rights And i read the above when it still had the part about not including unnatural (or maybe man-made? )chemicals and was questioning what unnatural is. We humans have an instinct to explore and understand our environment which has led to the invention of some marvellous things, including some great chemmies. Our instinct to explore and understand was what first brought early humans to the plants. And as humans have evolved and so have our medicines, not always for the best but that is the nature of evolution. Nothing to get fired up about entheo farm.

    Petition for civil liberties

Enteofarm, I think that because reptyle has included ALL chemicals rather than restricting it to what you, and of course others, think is an appropriate proposal means that he is obviously doing this for all. Just because you think that you do not need access to all available chemicals does not mean that the next person does not. And what is natural? A bee takes the pollen and turns it into honey, is this so different from a man taking safrole and turning it into MDMA? I think what reptyle is doing is very noble in an age of fear, whether or not it will do anything remains to be seen, but it think he should be applauded for even taking on such a daunting task, 50 000 is ALOT of people.

    Carpark neck injury scammer

Alright i was in the carpark and i reversed without looking and hit a another car. Got out, it was all sweet, just bent the number plate a little. I said sorry to the lady i crashed into (it was fully my fault) and she started going ballistic that i'd hit her shitbox car (the whole car prolly would've cost no more than $500). I told her it was sweet and that if she was really so upset i'd pay to repair her number plate.(thinking that i would just bend it back into place at home, the damage was minimal and may have already been there)She kept yelling at me so after i gave her my details and there was no more to do I went and parked again. I saw her now hobbling towards me about 10 minutes later and rubbing her neck as if it was in absolute agony. She'd forgotten to get my license no. Now she was telling me that she had whiplash and that i was going to need to give her money for her neck injuries! My car has a tow ball on it and i would've been going like 2kph if that, i didn't even damage her radiator, surely that would have been smashed up if I hit her hard enough to give her whiplash. I told her that if she thought she had injuries at the time of the crash she should have called the police at the time and that i thought she was trying to scam me so that she could buy a decent car, that really pissed her off. Anyway i'm a little worried about this as i have no money whatsoever to pay for her supposed neck injuries. Does anyone know if she will be able to take me to court? I feel a bit weird about this as the crash was a nonevent, why would someone want to sue me and bring so much unnecessary drama into their lives? It was the most piss weak accident ever and she was acting like I had just committed the single most offensive act in her entire life.

    Carpark neck injury scammer

Nothing happened so got to be stoked with that. I just think the lady was a bitch but that day she was having an extra shit day. I wrote off another car yesterday!!! Damn rain, i skidded about 10m into another car. Luckily i did no damage to the other car at all, unluckily, and quite bizarrely, i managed to completely write off mine. I think its so light that when i put on the brake it just locked up and skidded into the other car. The car felt like it sped up when i put the brake on, really bizarre. I skidded about 10M into the other car. At first i wasn't worried, i had heaps of time to stop but then the car just kept going. Crazy shit.

    Autumn Crocus

Does anyone know where i can get the real autumn crocus, the one that you can make some funky looking plants? I've seen it in a few nurseries but its never the right one, always some other plant, botanical name is something like zenip-something. Sounds like heaps of fun to me. And if anyone else knows how to cause mutations in plants i'm all ears.

    Autumn Crocus

Do you have any pics Vert? Does it work on small cuttings, or even treating growth tips on a plant? And what kind of mutations can be expected?

    Cane toads:

I really think that putting them in the feezer to kill them is the most humane way to kill them. When i was younger me and my brother would hit with golf clubs, use machetes, set alight, spray with dettol, shoot with a slug gun and sometimes the .410, run over, throm them against things, shoot the into the air/at tjhings with a cannon and a lot of other horrible horrible things. Toads can frequently survive after having these atrocities happen to them so it is just best to chuck them in the freezer, and even then you will get the odd one still alive. BTW I am a vegetarian now and try to harm living things as little as possible. I actually get excited when i see the odd toad around here, i have a really big one that lives under the house atm.

    Autumn Crocus

Every nursery that i go to says they have it but then when you check the tag its never the REAL autumn crocus. I got some seeds a while back but the intructions looked a little imtimidating so i haven't put them in yet. I also thought they had corms?? Maybe they seed as well. I've managed to find other colchicum species corms, does anyone know if they can make things a little funky?

    Cane toads:

They introduced cane toads to combat cane beetles in sugar cane however the toad is not an agressive predator of the cane beetle as the beetle lives high up in the sugar can and the toads can't get up there. THey probably pick a few off though. When i first moved up to qld my brother and i would go out every night killing them with various means. It did a fair bit to reduce the local population but as soon as they lay eggs its back to square one. We had a dam on our property and there were literally millions born every year. Toads are the toughest animal i have ever come across. I've seen a car run them over before and their guts spilled out, but they just get up, swallow their guts and sometimes hop away!! Pretty amazing. I don't mind seeing them these days, they're a pretty tame animal and don't mind being picked up and played with. And the patterns on theey're backs are very intricate and beautiful. A gnome i once knew, when he was a bit younger, collected a heap of toad poison (turn toads over and gently squeeze glands behind they're 'ears' and collect it on a piece of glass, MAKE SURE GLANDS ARE FACING AWAY FROM YOU) and smoked it. It was a little psychedelic and VERY sickening. So the myth is true but sort of something that you would only try once, or maybe never at all now that i think about it...

    Bumblebees raiding my Tobacco

I have seen tobacco grown organically before and it had lots of little holes in the seed pods, i thought it must have been caterpillars cause i've seen really little ones on them but never seen them on the pods. They're green and small. Would bee some interesting honey!!

So if someone where to give themselves a hash enema everyday would this work? A friends mum has colon cancer and has been given the option of a colostomy bag or dying but they still want to try some things out first. They live in a country where pot is legal obviously.
